The Birth Course

All about labor, birth, and postpartum with an expert…

What is the Birth Course?

The Birth Course is an online self-paced course to learn all about labor, birth, and postpartum. Whether you are a first-time mom or a seasoned birther this course is for you. The focus of The Birth Course is to fill the gaps in the current prenatal care and birth education that many women are given in the Western Medical System. This course will prepare you for any scenario that you may encounter in childbirth.

What is included?

The birth course will cover aspects of anatomy and physiology, stages of labor, discomfort and pain management in labor, preparing your mind and body for labor and birth, birth plans, and postpartum. This course is for everyone because it touches on both home, hospital, and birth center birth. We have a supportive online community to discuss all questions about the course. This course is designed to walk you through labor and birth with details so you feel prepared and empowered.

In addition to the support in the online forum, you will be able to call, text, or email Erin Emmi CNM with questions about the course content. This course is designed for you to have the experience you desire.

After purchasing the course you will be able to access the course material and complete the course at your own pace in your own home. There are exercises along the way to reinforce the material or to help provoke thoughts about your labor and birth.

The course should take approximately ten hours to complete. If you want to skip a module you are able to do that. You can also refer back to a module for reference later.

The goal is that you feel ready and all of your questions are answered!

“This course is exactly what I needed to prepare. I felt like my questions were not being answered at my prenatal appointments with my doctor. I even took a hospital-based class and I just did not feel like my questions were answered. If you are on the fence about taking this class you need to do it! I am so happy I did!
